This book is very boring and doesn’t have many photos. It seems as if it was thrown together quickly to make bucks off the New Kids comeback as it many run on sentences and grammatical errors. I got this book for free from another site and the retail price is $15 – don’t waste your money.

Before the Legend: The Rise of New Kids on the Block is a great account of how to make it in the music industry despite the obstacles and disappointments. Maurice Starr believed and never quit.

This book is a fast read with interesting tidbits and historical accounts of why this boy band lead to the creation of other boy bands, which happen to be White singing a form of rhythm and blues music.

Great for all the young girls who loved New Kids and for those working hard to make it in the music industry.
