This is Maiji Castro’s and Meridith Richter’s entry for Tamora Pierce in the Fantasy Road Trip Contest. Beka Cooper is chasing the bad guy we made up (DeFloufyFloof-don’t ask how we came up with the name….) when she and DeFloufyFloof are transported into our time through a dust spinner. She finds a clue leading her to the famous Denver amusement park, Elitches, and with the help of local Maiji Castro, she follows him. Our roadtrip is an adventure that involves fun, audiobooks (hint, hint), and a perilous chase. Over the entire trip, Maiji and Beka become friends and join together in the combined effort to track down and put an end to the infamous DeFloufyFloof.
