Wow, thanks so much Darren! I never thought you’d actually find this!
Glad to see you’re still a fan! Your collection is almost as impressive as mine!!!!
This makes me wish I had read more as a kid! I did read, and really like the Clue series, though!
Thanks for reminding me of these great books?
Have you read “Dragon Slayers Academy?”
I LOVED those as well.
And also “A Nose from Jupiter?”
And also I read the Deltora series. I guess they were my first taste of magic and fantasy.
I loved the Clue series!
I loved Pippi Longstocking, Jim Knopf (it’s a German book), Gänsehaut (those books are really awesome, you get to choose what you want to do and have to go to different pages and end up in different places each time =)), really loved the famous five in elementary school =D
I can’t even remember a single children’s book I’ve ever read. There was one about monsters that is fairly famous, and the kid who travels to their land. Yet for some reason I can’t remember the name. I read a lot of “Goosebumps” books, but I read mostly young adult fiction while a child.
The Demon Headmaster!
12 Dancing Princesses. And George’s Marvelous Medicine. And all the Hans Christian Anderson ones. The Little Mermaid.
Isn’t it a great book? I loved it too
Wow, I had completely forgotten about the Mouse and the Motorcycle. I loved that book too
Yeah, the book fairs were pretty excellent
Oh man, Holes and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are too of my favorites too! And the Boxcar children! Are we the same person?
Oh, I loved Roald Dahl too! I don’t think I ever read Boy, but I read most his fiction work. The Twits was hilarious.
Yay, more people like it too
I actually read Frindle not too long ago, as my wife was reading it as part of her students’ reading class IIRC. I dug it!
I’ve never actually read any of those books, but I wasn’t into childrens reading as a kid, I read stuff like Steven King and Ann Rice.
I did read alot of Roald Dahl and Goosebumps books now that I think about it, also Mouse and the Motorcycle.
I remember those days….. I haven’t read children’s books in years. This just made me wanna go back through my own collection, as well as pick up a few more! haha.
I miss the days of book fairs. Those were my people. lol. I used to spend hours in them. They had to make me leave.

Louis Sachar and Roald Dahl were two of my favorite authors as a kid. Holes is one of my favorite books of all time, as is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I also loved the Encyclopedia Brown series and the Boxcar Children. And the Wizard of Oz books.
I always loved Roald Dahl, anything by Dahl. Much of his stuff is well known, but there are tons of others like the Twits or the autobiographical ‘Boy – Tales of childhood.’ I just love his dark humor.
AHHHH!!! I love Frindle!!! That is the best book EVER! Sorry for the all caps. It was necessary. I approve of your taste in books. love, allie
Oh yeah, I liked A School Story too
And of course Roald Dahl is amazing. I was going to talk about him but decided to talk about Darren Shan instead so I could show off my collection
